Rosslyn Apartments

A nine-storey development with 165 apartments that speaks to the once industrial and commercial context of the area.

The façade provides a sense of movement through the glimmer in reflection of sunlight filtered through the prominent street treescape. The building transfigures and modulates, echoing the colour, textures and hues of the changing seasons. This is expressed through a detailed collage of colour tones and reflective glazing. The private sun-drenched rooftop decking also beckons for year-round indoor-outdoor living.

The interiors are crisp and offer clean lines and pure, pared back style bathed in natural light, highlighting Buchan’s meticulous attention to detail. A careful selection of materials provides a sense of depth and grain, to combine form and functionality to be practically liveable.

The design also embraces the reduction for reliance on individual car ownership. The site has good proximity to public transport and a high walk score. There are spaces for 150 basement carparks and 190 bike racks, as well spaces for private bike racks within apartments. Additionally, a bike workshop provides an area for bike maintenance.
