Buchan’s Hotels forum this month ‘Make an impression, leave no trace‘ made an undeniably positive impression on the hotels and hospitality industry.
The event brought together influential voices from across the hospitality industry – hoteliers, asset owners, developers and consultants at the forefront of new thinking – to discuss and debate the responsibility and opportunity we have to view a future through the lens of people, planet, and profit.
We were privileged to have Phillipa le Roux, Design & Project Director, Architecture Design & Construction, Hilton; Ian Devereux,Group Head of Development, Salter Brothers; Margit Robertson, Consultant – Circular Economy & Sustainable Tourism Development and Valerie Mack – Principal and Sector Leader, Buchan to join us for the forum, to share their unique perspective on ESG in the hotels and hospitality industry.
We were also fortunate to have Richard Boele, Chief Purpose Officer, KPMG as our forum moderator, who expertly guided the thought provoking and robust discussion on how the industry is addressing ESG.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank Aunty Donna Ingram for her warm welcome to country.
Over the coming weeks we will be sharing key highlights from the forum that consider ‘where to next’ for the sector as travel and tourism rebuilds.
